Overview
In early June 2022, Keyline Civils Specialist was approached by a high-profile joint venture contractor to provide urgent material supplies to support the construction of a large attenuation pond as part of a major infrastructure scheme in Uxbridge.
Challenge
With the contractor part way through the construction of a 3,000m2 attenuation pond to cater for surface water run-off, the lining material that formed part of the original specification was unavailable in the required time frame. It was down to Keyline to source an alternative compliant material while avoiding any unscheduled delays to the construction of the pond.
Finding a solution
Due to the purpose and location of the site, a temporary lining system was required for the attenuation pond, which would be in place for approximately three to four years while work continued on site.
To swiftly resolve the matter, Keyline approached soil stabilisation and erosion control specialists, Greenfix. After reviewing the design requirements and final application, the decision was made to install Greenfix’s HDR400 Impermeable Liner.
