HOW THE DOWNSTREAM DEFENDER® SELECT’S FLEXIBILITY CAN ANSWER YOUR CUSTOMERS’ INSTALLATION QUESTIONS.

We’ve just launched a new animation about our Downstream Defender® Select stormwater treatment vortex separator.  It shows how the Downstream Defender® Select flexibility provides installation options which can help you to help your customers save time and money. Watch it here.

Installation of the Downstream Defender® Select is easier and more cost-effective thanks to an extended range of chamber sizes, multiple connecting pipe sizes, an adjustable inlet position, and up to three inlets. This removes any need to factor in costly, complicated pipe connections, couplings or additional chambers.

For quick and straightforward installation, the Downstream Defender® Select is delivered pre-installed inside a concrete chamber so that, once positioned, it can be directly connected to the pipework. For sites where access to heavy lifting equipment is difficult, the Downstream Defender® Select can also be supplied in a lightweight, easy-handling plastic chamber.

Q:  Will I be able to connect the Downstream Defender® Select directly to my pipework on site?
A:  The Downstream Defender® Select has been created with this in mind.  It can accept a range of inlet and outlet pipe sizes without compromising performance, so it can be easily connected to most standard pipework on site. This removes the need to factor in costly, complicated pipe connections, couplings or additional chambers.

Q: I have more than one source of stormwater, can I connect them directly to the Downstream Defender® Select?
A:  Yes, the Downstream Defender® Select can accept up to three inlets, eliminating the need for additional collection chambers and helping to reduce installation costs. The position of the inlet can also be adjusted, helping to avoid the need for additional chambers.

Q:  I have no access for heavy plant on my site, so how will I be able to install a Downstream Defender® Select?
A:  The Downstream Defender® Select is supplied as standard in a concrete chamber, for strength and quick installation.  However, for sites with restricted access not suitable for heavy plant, the Downstream Defender® Select can be supplied in a plastic chamber.

Q:  I need a Downstream Defender® Select asap!
A:  We keep a stock of most unit sizes in plastic so can respond and deliver to site very quickly.
